Rug Pull Warning Signs: 7 Checks Before You Buy

The chart is screaming. Influencers are foaming. Stop before your wallet becomes a crime scene.

FIELD SIGNAL // RISK CHECKVERIFY · CROSS-CHECK · THEN DECIDE
01

Verify the exact mint address

Compare the full address with the official project site. Tickers, logos and search results can be copied.

02

Inspect liquidity, not just market cap

Thin pools can make small sales move the price sharply. Market cap is not exit liquidity.

03

Check holder concentration

Look for linked wallets and suspicious clusters. A chart alone cannot prove wallet independence.

04

Review mint and freeze authorities

Remaining powers are not automatic proof of fraud, but they are risks that need explanation.

05

Check whether sells actually happen

A buy quote does not prove a sell will work. Routes and conditions change; simulations are not guarantees.

06

Read every wallet prompt

Reject fake claim pages, unknown programs and surprise approvals. Never share your seed phrase.

07

Cross-check independent sources

Compare the token page, explorer, liquidity pool and official channels. If evidence conflicts, pause.

No checklist guarantees safety. Find reasons to walk away before the market charges you an expensive lesson.

OPEN LIVE SURVIVOR TOOLS

Use these sources to cross-check signals; none can promise safety.

No tool removes market risk. Verify addresses independently and never sign a transaction you do not understand.

Check the full memecoin research checklist, then look specifically at liquidity and holder distribution. Before connecting or signing, use the wallet security dossier.

Source references: Solana token documentation, Solana Explorer and DexScreener Solana pairs. An authority setting, scanner result or liquidity snapshot is not a standalone fraud verdict.

RUG-PULL RISK: CHECK THE LAYERS

These are separate evidence categories, not a probability model. Do not add them into a made-up “risk score.”
