SURVIVOR FIELD MANUAL · CHECKLIST 003
Solana Token Safety Checklist: Don't Get Bitten
Before touching the swap button, run the checklist. If a critical answer is missing, the token stays outside the bunker.
Identity — same mint, every time
☐ Copy the mint address from an official source. ☐ Compare the full address in your explorer and trading interface. ☐ Ignore lookalike tickers, logos and sponsored search results. Verify on Solana Explorer.
Liquidity — can you exit?
☐ Check pool liquidity and pool age on DEX Screener. ☐ Compare trade size with available liquidity and expected slippage. ☐ Check whether liquidity is concentrated in one pool or can change abruptly. High volume does not guarantee an easy exit.
Holders — who owns the horde?
☐ Inspect top holders. ☐ Separate known pool/burn addresses from ordinary wallets where possible. ☐ Look for clusters of wallets with suspiciously similar balances or coordinated activity. Concentration raises risk; it does not independently prove wrongdoing.
Authorities and token features
☐ Review mint/freeze authority and token extensions using current, reputable tooling. ☐ Understand what each permission can do for this token standard. ☐ Treat unexplained control, recent metadata changes or unusual restrictions as reasons to pause.
Trading quality
☐ Compare buys, sells, transaction count and volume across more than one short interval. ☐ Watch for wash-like patterns, sudden liquidity drops and price moves on tiny trades. ☐ Do not mistake a bot signal or trending rank for an endorsement.
Wallet and website
☐ Check the exact domain and certificate; avoid links in unsolicited DMs. ☐ Never share seed phrases or private keys. ☐ Read every wallet prompt and reject unexpected permissions or transactions. ☐ Consider using a separate wallet with only the funds needed.
Final go / no-go
If the mint cannot be verified, the site is a clone, the pool is too thin, the risk is unclear or anyone pressures you to hurry: NO TRADE. Zombies can wait. Your wallet should too.
